Adopt-A-Hydrant: With many inches of snow this season, help us serve you better by adopting a hydrant! Ensure there's a 3ft radius around the hydrant for us to supply water more efficiently, this saves time to better serve the citizens of Monroe!


Coronavirus Response: To safely and better serve the Town of Monroe, we observe CDC social distancing guidelines while responding to calls for service. 


The Monroe Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 Inc. is a 100% volunteer fire department protecting the citizens of the Town of Monroe, Connecticut since 1923.


Updated for 2021! Per Monroe Town Ordinance, in order to have an open burn and/or a campfire, you must obtain a valid burn permit from the Office of the Fire Marshal. Visit the Fire Marshal's Website, Click Here for Open Burn Permit, Click Here for Campfire Permit.
