Monroe Fire Department was part of the Town Of Monroe's first annual Wellness Day program held at Monroe Elementary School on Saturday, February 4. Fire department personnel were on scene to answer questions about various health and safety issues. There were many free giveaways for adults and children which included: coloring books and brochures on fire detectors, fire extinguishers, escape plans and more. There was also a free raffle for a smoke detector and a CO detector. The department's newest piece of apparatus (the Quint ~ a multi-task vehicle) was on site for people to view and tour. |
