Hurst Training

Throughout the day on Sunday, December, 2, Monroe Fire
trained on the newly acquired Hurst Extrication Equipment
acquired through FEMA's Assistance to Firefighters Grants
Program. Firefighters spent the morning in a classroom
session and the afternoon doing many evolutions with donated
vehicles. Thanks to Firematic for instructing for the
day. |

Small Container &
Vehicle Fires

On the evening of Tuesday, October 16, Monroe Fire trained
on extinguishing small container and car fires primarily
with extinguishers. Attending this evening was one of
our honorary firefighters, Garth, who assisted on hose lines
and helped extinguish the last fire of the evening using
Q-200's pipe. Thanks to Kirk Products out of Seymour
for the donation of the extinguishers. |

Live Fire Training - Moose Hill Road

Lattanzi made a decision recently to rebuild is home, upon
the decision the Chief graciously donated his house to the
department for the function of live fire training exercises.
Crews trained for three days on the house running multiple
scenarios. Thanks to the Chief and his family for
their generous donation. |

Live Fire Training - Stevenson

Monroe was invited to
train with Stevenson at a acquired structure on Webb
Circle. The were 3 live burns -- one on the second floor
and two on the first floor. All three town departments
worked well together. Monroe crews assisted in vent,
attack, RIT, and pumping among other tasks.. Thank you to
the Stevenson Fire Dept. for their hospitality |
